My parents are divorced , they promised to love each other but I’m pretty sure my mom would never kill me, my brother, and my sister for revenge In my opinion I think media was just crazy, I say that because she killed her brother and king creon just for Jason. I’m also pretty sure my sister wouldn’t kill me or my brother for her boyfriend. And then once Jason leaves her she kills her kids for revenge. Who will kill their kids for revenge?
“What I know”
I know what it is like to come from a gang bang neighborhood, called Colonia. A scary neighborhood run by the gang called “Colonia Chiques.” I was raised in Colonia for awhile. There were always gun shots, fight, robberies, drunken people, and other bad things. Colonia is not a good place to walk down the street by yourself or even with your friends. There were always Cholos or gangsters always trying to rob you or just try to fight you for respect.
Well after awhile my parents got tired of all this so we left Colonia and we bought a house in Oxnard not that far from Colonia but far enough that we don’t have as much problems no more. I was always scared of Colonia never wanted to go. They always said “face your fears” but that was too scary to do. I always thought that me or my sister. Dad, mom, or brother would get jumped, stabbed, shot, or robbed.
I would still always have to go to Colonia everyday because I went to a private school called “our lady of Guadalupe”. But then I started to box at the famous “Colonia boxing gym” where a couple professional boxers were trained like Fernando Vargas he was raised just like me but boxing was his favorite sport mine was soccer. So after awhile I got to know people at Colonia when I boxed so after I got to know people I wasn’t as scared anymore because I got to know all the “ Cholos .”
Cholos where never actually bad kids there just kids that are poor don’t have good parents and want a family so they stick with their gang. So when they steal, rob, or beat people up its cause they don’t have any money or people talk a lot of crap to them. The homies of Colonia always had my back. “I remember one time I was at soccer practice in Camino del sol park in Colonia these two kids wanted to beat me up but at the best time my three friends called José, Pepino, and Alejandro seen me and told those kids to back off me” I never seen those two kids again. So I know what it feels like to come from a gangster neighborhood.

FailureIn the passage Medusa and the Snail by Lewis Thomas he explains how doing things wrong you can actually discover new things. I agree with Thomas that sometimes that you can make a mistake to discover. Failure can sometimes lead to something good.I have experienced failure in my own life and it has made me better in my favorite sport. I was in u-14 playing for my soccer team called Santos. I was playing defense and I took the ball from the other team but I was under pressure, so I forgot a big rule in defense and for goalies that rule was never pass the ball to the middle, always to the sides but there was a man on me. So I broke and I pass the ball to the middle and the other team get the ball, takes it down the line, and scores. So with that failure I learned to never pass the ball to the middle.In the passage “The medusa and the Snail” by Lewis Thomas explains how making mistakes can actually lead to a new discovery like finding antibiotics. Lewis Thomas says “We are built to make mistake.” So to be wrong can lead to being right. CHEATING
Christine Pelton a high school teacher in Kansas gave her students gave her students a test and 28 students got caught cheating. Christine Pelton had to fail all those 28 students but after the parents complained the piper school board told her to go easier and then she quit. So in my opinion I don’t think she should have gone easier because those kids should deserve what they got for cheating.
Should the school board be easier on those kids who cheated? Well in my opinion they shouldn’t go easier on them because they plagiarize and took someone else’s work that someone really worked hard on, for a lazy person to copy.
I don’t know where I got this from but I always say it to people who cheat, “cheaters don’t succeed” and I believe it because well I’m not going to lie I cheat and cheating makes you succeed but only for awhile. You can only go so far with cheating. So I think cheating is bad but not only in school. I think it bad to cheat in sports by taking steroids. I don’t think it right to take steroids because you get stronger, faster, and you can breathe better. For example, what if someone worked as hard as they could to be a professional baseball player and another guy took steroids to get faster, stronger and there was only one spot left, the guy that took the steroids might get that spot but he cheated to get it. That’s why its bad to cheat.
